Creator's Letter
I'd always wished for a single place to see what I must do in a day to day life.
I tried many things — Second Brain apps, task managers, kanban boards, calendar tools. They all had something to offer, but none had everything I wanted. Eventually, they got too overwhelming. So I decided to simplify and build my own.
That's how Kartha was born.
Kartha simply means the Doer. My hope is that the app enables you to be that, a doer.
Some features in this app have risen out of the silliest things. The Counters feature was created so that I could keep track of all the anime I watch in a season. I can create a tag called #anime, #winter2025 and make a counter with the number of episodes. Counters record history, so I know when I watched an episode.
Routines was created because I couldn't find an app that can create intervals for different stages of meditation — taking time to adjust posture, stillness in breath. The routines timer gives a bell sound after each step is completed so I don't have to open my eyes.
All these features came out of real needs. Small, personal, sometimes silly needs.
Kartha is actively evolving. I build in the open, and I ship often. There's a lot more coming — but what's here today is something I use every single day, and I hope you will too.
My hope is that you have fun with this app, be creative, do what you like.
Make it yours.
Tell me what features you like. Definitely tell me what you don't like. So we can build this better.
Yours,
Sai,
